PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY
Portrait Photography is all about people and their lives. It occurs when the photographer grabs the chance to preserve emotions or the character of his subject in a framed everlasting capture. A portrait is a photograph about the subject and literally nothing else ! It speaks about subject's personality in an effective way, in other words it tries to provoke curiosity or even to document someone's charisma .
Another form of portraiture is 'portrait en creux'. 'Portrait en creux' is the still-life that is a self-portrait. It is a French term used to describe a photographic composition of inaminate things (still life) which functions as a photograph of a person, but without his physical presence. It is the portrait of a man, without the man himself !
